about 6 weeks ago I signed up for 2 hours of vacation time.
Every week Hacky asks me which days I am working and which days
I get to stay home with him.
I told him I would be home very early today.
The last time we talked about this was last weekend.
I was sure today was my day with the 2 hours of vacation.
Until I double checked yesterday and realize that my 2 hours
of vacation are next friday. not today.
This morning I was giving Hacky a hug good bye and told him that
I didn’t have to work tomorrow or the next day. And he was so excited
and told me that today was the day that I got off early.
He cried when I told him that I made a mistake and it is really next week.
It broke my heart.
I promised that we would watch Nightmare Before Christmas tonight and that I would
give him a bath. Maybe I will see if he wants to play Kingdom Hearts as well.
He still had tears running down his face when I had to leave.
It kills me when he gets disappointed like that.
I will definatly make it up to him this weekend.
and now we have something to look forward to next week.
